Foreign Direct Investment Trends In Romania

Abstract:

           In today's global economy, FDI has become, along with the resources of each country, a source of funding economic development. The importance of foreign capital in the global economy and the economies of states is obvious and therefore conducted numerous literature reviews on the subject and continues to look at new ways to attract foreign investors. Since 1990, foreign capital flows have become a part of the increasingly important and dynamic in more countries in Central and Eastern Europe, including Romania, allowing a gradual reintegration into the world economy. For this reason, we proposed to establish in this paper an analysis of the evolution of FDI in Romania, based on the relationship between FDI flows as a percentage of GDP, continuing with the analysis of measures and strategies to attract FDI, the attractiveness of Romania to foreign investors, ultimately making a SWOT analysis of investment environment from Romania.
