Foreign Investors and Labor Law Case Study in the Slovak Republic

Abstract:

Globalization enables the development of investment relations, capital flow and also influences employment. In 1993, the Slovak Republic began to promote and facilitate the flow of capital, which was made visible by the increasing activity of foreign investors. Foreign investments in Slovakia come not only from EU member states, but also from other countries. The article systematically analyses labor law in connection with the development of investment relations and shows how the rights of employees employed by foreign investors are protected. The analysis focuses on the protection of employees' rights and how employers respect collective bargaining in connection with legal regulations.
