Abstract:
With the emerging opportunities established by new technologies and communication channels, big open linked data analytics essentially changes the way how policymaking is perceived and executed. The purpose of this paper is to review recent research on this topic. Thus, this study examines the emerging role of these data in the context of their benefits, challenges and risks in the public sector. The key contribution in this paper is a new conceptual framework which is to be specifically addressed and customized for big open linked data analytics. More particularly, it defines the key lifecycle phases and related activities of these data which were identified and categorized through a systematic literature review process.
