Abstract:
The rapid development of the digital economy has created both opportunities and challenges for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in traditional industries such as batik. Many entrepreneurs face difficulties adapting to digital transformation due to limited innovative learning models, low digital literacy, and reliance on conventional practices. This study aims to examine the determinants of digital entrepreneurial behavior by analyzing the roles of creativity, entrepreneurship education, and knowledge sharing, with innovative entrepreneurship learning as a mediating variable.
This study used a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method on 278 respondents, MSMEs in Indonesia who are actively running businesses and have participated in entrepreneurship education or training. Respondents were selected from several key centers, namely Pekalongan, Solo, Yogyakarta, Cirebon, Lasem, and Madura. The results show that creativity, entrepreneurship education, and knowledge sharing have a significant positive effect on IEL, which in turn strengthens DEB. Furthermore, IEL plays a crucial role as a mediator bridging individual abilities, formal educational input, and social interactions with digital entrepreneurship practices.
Theoretically, this research contributes by integrating Experiential Learning Theory into digital entrepreneurship studies, emphasizing that entrepreneurial behavior arises not only from individual factors and education, but is also influenced by collaborative learning and knowledge sharing. Practically, this research emphasizes the importance of encouraging creativity, integrating digital literacy into entrepreneurship education, and building collaborative platforms to accelerate the digital transformation of MSMEs without eliminating cultural heritage, but instead strengthening business resilience and performance
