Abstract:

The article attempts to explain the low efficiency of adapting the innovation ecosystem concept in the Russian economy through the prism of institutional support to innovations at all levels of the system, including the microlevel. The work theoretically grasps modern approaches to the conception of innovation system, considers its disadvantages both in theoretical and methodological terms, suggests to expand the understanding of innovation systems by reconsidering the role of enterprises in the innovation process. It is shown that there is a need for institutional support to the innovation process at the macrolevel capable of “launching” the process of innovative development institutionalization at the microlevel. The authors concluded that in modern economic conditions it is necessary to consider new approach - digital innovation ecosystem, which has a number of important advantages, allows using positive synergetic effects within the framework of interaction of the participants in the innovation environment.
