Abstract:
This paper aims to analyze funding policies applied in Romania to encourage rural youth. From the analysis it is found that in rural areas, most farmers have over 60 years and a very small part are people up in 40 years. In order to encourage young people and their orientation towards agricultural activities, the European Union allocates a number of European funds for investments in agricultural holdings. Accessing this measure youth enjoyed a success, proving that although there are many young farmers, however they have a high entrepreneurial spirit. Access to funds for young people, has been hampered by lack of capital.
