Abstract:
Having the appropriate competencies in the manager's work is crucial for a dynamic development of personal carrier and obtaining a substantial competitive advantage. This paper attempts to answer the following question: what competencies seem essential for future managers in the pharmaceuticals sector? The set of future competencies mainly consists of technical, managerial and social skills. Already at the stage of looking for a job, the level of individual competencies can be a kind of “sieve”. It is especially true for the pharmaceutical sector that only the candidates manifesting strongly developed different abilities will succeed in the recruitment process. However, at later stages of their carriers, it is social competence that may secure a good, professional job.
