Fuzzy Sets Supervision of a Pollution Level in the Context of Smart City

Abstract:

The concept of smart city seems to be the best solution for a harmonious future between man and nature, which is not yet very well known, but which can be very easy to implement. This paper presents an in-depth study on the degree of pollution representing a parallel between cities that have the peculiarities of a smart city and non-smart city. The data processing was performed with fuzzy sets and subsequently modeled in MATLAB, thus obtaining dynamic graphs that describe the variation of the degree of pollution starting from the initial concentrations of gases in the atmosphere. It is executed an algorithm that evaluates the pollution on industries in a chosen surface and in response, offers a gradient result that indicates whether its activity is beneficial for the environment or not. The fuzzy relationship is extremely useful in this whole monitoring process, which can be an indispensable tool that, once used, considerably improve the health of the population in that area,  representing an important step in health security.
