Gamification as A Tool For Shaping The Behavior Of Y And Z Generations In The Workplace

Abstract:

The article aims at showing that gamification can support employees' motivation and commitment to help companies face the challenges of technological development. The paper presents the literature review and existing research results on Generation Y and Z employees and in particular, their commitment and expectations towards employers. Then, the skills that are nowadays mostly required by employers are outlined. In the further part of the article, theories of motivation which may support engagement are indicated, including captology, as a science combining technology and persuasion.
