Gauging Digital Natives Behavioural Intentions in Information Sharing on Social Media

Abstract:

This article tries to describe individuals’ intentions to spread information to others on social media by relating with The Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB). This study is delimited to the issues on behavioural intention in information sharing on social media among digital natives at universities who are social media users such Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Instagram. The respondents were selected from undergraduate students in university. This study will provide effective awareness to the public on social media sharing information’s effect. The study also will educate the public, organizations, and the ministry to protect the information, be responsible, and follow the laws and codes.
