Global Management of Modern World Development: Current Situation and Development Prospects

Abstract:

The paper reveals the world situation after the collapse of the Soviet Union. It was concluded that since the beginning of the 1990s, the world system has become more differential and chaotic, conflictogenity, global risks and threats (terrorism, drug trafficking) have significantly increased. A tendency of complication of international processes and certain difficulties in regulation of international relations occurred. Moreover, the United States evolved from leader acting through the use of soft power tools to a hegemon using the method of coercion. Possible scenarios of transformation of the world economic system from monocentricity to polycentricity are considered.
