Grain Yield and Quality Performaces of Different Breeding Cultivars under Different Seeding Rate

Abstract:

The paper presents yield results of twelve winter wheat genotypes with different genetic constitutions for their adaptability and performance under limiting field conditions in three different seeding rates: 350 seeds/m2, 550 seeds/m2 and 750 seeds/m2. In the conditions of current climate changes, it is important to study the interaction between genotype and environmental conditions. The experimental results highlighted the fact that the highest production yield was obtained by the genotype Lv 6x 7678.4 kg/ha at 550 seeds/m2 followed by Glosa variety, with 7528.1 kg/ha at 750 seeds/m2, and Katarina variety with 5920.2 kg/ha at 350 seeds/m2. PCA analysis allowed the identification of performing genotypes for both, grain yield and quality parameters.
