Abstract:

The goal of the paper to present the classify trends and development directions of Green Economy. The goal is of cognitive and conceptual character and the research implemented benefits from text mining method. To achieve the research goal made a systematic review of scientific publications from Web of Science and Scopus databases. n the article analize scientific publications from 1990–2019 were searched with the term 'Green Economy' in their title, abstract or keywords. The search for the defined basic concept of 'Green Economy' included 1,500 references, not including identifying the type of publication or science category. The innovative nature refers to conducted analysis, which identifying global-scaled research directions for development of Green Economy. Research proved that heterogeneity, multi-facetedness and multi-directionality of research on Green Economy is a difficult but definable phenomenon.  The article contains the main trends and the results of the bibliometric analysis and semantic maps. The growing trend of publishing scientific papers on the subject is observable, which indicates that the Green Economy concept is in the centre of attention of scientists and researchers. It can be assumed that the tendency will continue. This proves the expansive nature of research in the analysed area. Research is necessary from academic perspective, not only to organize the knowledge but also to identify future research potential. This paper highlights the state-of-the-art developments in the literature.
