Abstract:
In the context of increasing patients’ needs and expectations and limited available resources, recent studies focused on the issue of the best strategies able to lead to enhanced quality of heat care services. This research was carried out on a sample of 286 healthcare professionals from South-East Romania. To validate the research hypotheses, structural equations modeling (SEM) and Path Analysis were employed. The research results indicate that non-financial motivation of medical staff positively influences the quality of health care services provided, the relationship being partly mediated by work satisfaction. On the other hand, the hypothesis that financial motivation would be associated with an enhanced quality of care could not be validated.
