Heart-Brain Communication: The Way to Build Resilience and Improve Performance

Abstract:

This paper describes several facts about the heart-brain connection and how the heart influences brain function and performance. Research studies show that it is not true that we have limited control over the mind and emotions. If we adopt and train self-regulation skills, the emotional system can be regulated and brought into coherence.

Understanding of heart-brain connection and communication means, that we can increase our capacity, performance and become more resilient. We have also information on how to shift and reset our inner systems and default settings and operate more effectively and with greater capacity and within daily interactions.

Most organizations nowadays face to constant organizational changes and transformation is part of daily life of many companies. Pressure to deliver results, work remotely and independetly, make important decisions have a huge imapct on business performance and health of employees. Numerous scientific studies have now shown that excessive pressure directly impacts the internal physiological processes of individuals. This has an impact on performance of an individual and consequently on organisational itlesf. Heart – brains communication shows what it happening with people internal functions, describes that we are able to undesrtand these mechanisms, train them and improve personal performance, staff turnover, personal health and thereby organizational effectiveness.
