Abstract:
Nowadays, the concepts of sustainability, sustainable value, etc. are widely discussed. For sustainable development it is not enough to measure the economic performance of a company; it needs to include the evaluation of other areas (environmental, social and corporate governance). Information systems are penetrating into various types of business activities. Therefore, their functionality is an important factor in terms of corporate sustainability. Regular assessment and optimization of the information system is an important benefit for each company. In the present paper we deal with improving companies' information systems’ evaluation using the HOS method in the Zefis Portal. The improvement lies in heightening the evaluation accuracy of the information systems's individual components. This is done by means of revising the evaluation criteria and implementing their pertinent weights. It requires an individual approach to solving problems. A short illustration presents some of our current research outputs that we have obtained after several improvements and changes took place, particularly in the security area of the information system (IS).
