Household Preference Toward Financial Inclusion in the Coastal Area of Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province

Abstract:

The aim of the study is to examine household preference toward financial inclusion in the coastal area of Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province, by using a logistic model. Primary data of households are collected from the coastal area with total respondents of 400 households. The results reveal that income has a positive and significant effect on household preference toward financial inclusion and the magnitude of the variable is the biggest compared to other variables. Furthermore, the educational level has a second bigger effect on household preference toward financial inclusion, whereas age has a negative and significant effect on household preference toward financial inclusion. To increase financial inclusion in this area, the local and provincial governments should promote household income.
