Abstract:
The focus of this paper is on proposing a methodology for investigating if and how cultural differences affect communications broadcasted by people who were on the ground during emergency events. This paper addresses issues of the attributes in micro-blog posts generated during different emergency situations such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and the recent revolutions in Syria, Libya, and Egypt are examined, analysed, and studied in depth detail. The current investigation, approach and methodology were described. The method will help to build for the future awareness detection in social networks.
