Abstract:
This article aims to emphasize the opportunities and challenges which accountants face in a new age, so-called the 4th industrial revolution. The analysis of the literature reveals the predictions most likely to happen for 2030. This paper aims to analyze how accountants will adapt and to what extent financial reporting will change. The regulatory accounting bodies play a guidance role for accountants, as long as university curricula have to update and include the last information technology in order to prepare future accountants. This article is proposing to open the debate on the future requirements identified by professional accounting bodies and how university curricula need to change, starting from the present article.
