Abstract:

Inequality, together with the lack of opportunities regarding growth and social mobility, indicate the fact that the Romanian investment in the human capital is not as efficient as it should be; thus, the result takes the shape of both stagnant poverty and low economic productivity. What about the Romanian situation concerning the development of the human capital? In order to provide a suitable answer to this question, the parameter of human development will be used (IDU or HDI).
