Abstract:

The development and modernization of economy result in increased demand for high quality human capital. The main aim of the paper is to assess human capital in the EU countries from the perspective of the level of education. The following detailed objectives are adopted in the paper: assessment of education as a factor shaping human capital in the EU countries and assessment of the “human resources” factor included in the SII.
