Identification of Barriers to Implementation of Innovations as One of the Elements of Management in The Local Real Estate Market

Abstract:

The aim of the study is to identify and assess innovation barriers in the construction sector in Poland. The study hypothesized that the development of construction implementing innovations, is a necessary development. For the purpose of the work objective, surveys were used to assess the sustainable development of the real estate market in the light of benefits and threats, the  secondary research of empirical data in this area, data published by the Central Statistical Office of Poland, the Europe 2020 Strategy and used the examinations of McKinsey`s survey. The analysis of empirical data concerning innovations on the local as well as national real estate market has shown that respondents perceive the benefits and barriers to innovation as key determinants of the concept of competitiveness and sustainable development of the real estate sector. Emphasizing effective management aimed at reducing risk and increasing interest in sustainable development, it was found that by combining economic, environmental and social aspects, it promotes an increase in living standards and well-being, as well as a lowering of the negative impact on the climate and the environment. In conclusion, it was stated that in the context of innovative changes in the real estate market subject to the intensive globalization process, the thesis was confirmed that the development of construction implementing innovations, as a result of increasing competitiveness on global markets, is one of the main determinants of introducing the economy on the path of sustainable development.
