In light of the continued diffusion on electronic business and electronic government, security risks have risen to the forefront of concerns for the global IT industry. Identity Management offers the
body of knowledge and potential solutions that can address these security concerns. This paper presents theoretical perspectives into the concept of Identity Management, and discusses its
importance, associated obstacles, and potential rewards for enterprises engaging in Internetenabled transaction.
