Immunity Test to Electric Field according to MIL STD 461G in Reference to Tests of Small and Large Objects

Abstract:

The continuous attacks are being observe nowadays on IT devices in order to obtain processed information, disruptions, paralyzes or destruction (Kubiak, 2018, Bialek, 2019) of IT systems (including monitoring, banking and military systems). Apart from software resistance (antiviruses and system firewalls), it is also very important to determine the degree of immunity of electronic devices to the influence of external electromagnetic disturbances that may be used to paralyze or even damage or destroy elements of information systems. One of the applicable documents describing the immunity (susceptibility) test methods is MIL-STD 461G. The article presents the methodology of immunity tests in accordance with this document, with the main attention being paid to the reliability of the test results obtained.
