Abstract:
The study examines the impacts of business entrepreneurship venture on Nigerian University Internally Generated Revenue with reference to Landmark University Omu – Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria. The study adopts descriptive statistics to analyze the data and the use of Regression analysis to test the significant impact by ordinary least square analysis and vector auto-regression estimates. The study reveals that the impact of business entrepreneurship venture in University is positive for three business ventures of the four ventures undertaken by the university. Also, the findings show that the difference in guest house were caused by their seasoned patronage therefore, still have impact on the University revenue. The study revealed that Cafeteria, Shopping Mall, Commercial farm and Guest House proceeds had huge impact on the internally generated revenue of the University. There is no doubt that the above named business ventures contributed tremendously to the financial base of the University. It is also revealed that from the study that the source of revenue generated by the University can be maintained through improvement and new marketing strategies to attract the public to buy into its commercial and other revenue generation activities. Therefore, the study recommends that other Universities’ Management are to look inward and emulate Landmark University Experience in generating funds and manage them effectively.
