Impact of Distance Education on The Learning of University Students, Period 2009 – 2019: a Review of The Scientific Literature

Abstract:

In recent years, tele-education has been catalogued thanks to the massification of the Internet as an accepted means of learning due to the acquisition of new technologies and access to large amounts of information for distance learning. The following work aims to specify the level of impact of tele-education during the learning process of students in a methodological environment of systematic review of literature and PRISMA strategy, we obtained a total of 82 articles which was reduced to 40 final articles found within the databases Scielo, Dialnet, IEEE Xplore, OEI, Redalyc, Researcher, ScienceDirect, Scopus, VirtualEduca and WOS. We obtained 29 articles (73%) that show positive impacts of distance education, 5 articles (13%) that show negative impacts and 6 articles (15%) that contain certain methodologies to obtain positive results during the online classes; that is why we recommend the inclination for the use of this modality of study which favors the learning of the students.
