Abstract:
The advantages of reintegrating recycled materials into the economic circuit are obvious, keeping resources as long as possible in the economy and recovering them at the end of a life cycle means a reduction in carbon footprint and environmental impact. Understanding the current situation and the need for education and awareness campaigns to rebuild citizens' confidence in waste management measures and objectives and generally environmental protection, we have to start from early age of students to educate them and teach them what to do and how to do. Family members also supported young people, this study wants to measure the behavior and knowledge level of young school children and how family and schools contribute to the development of kid’s behavior. A questionnaire was applied to high school students and contains 15 items structure in four parts students’ knowledge, behavior, vision and students information about recycling process and materials. Results present a young generation very well informed but with practical problems in applying the selective recycling, They have a vision for future activities and volunteer participation organized by schools. Finally, the study was completed with the classification according to the amount recycled by category and selective point in city. Not at last school and family can sustain and attract students by games, courses, lectures or volunteer activities. This study experiment also tried to bring the generations closer together, the misunderstanding between the generations being known.
