Abstract:
This research develops an evaluative analysis of the impact of the EFQM quality standard on the academic results of secondary schools in Colombia. Studies related to the incidence of quality standards in the management and academic performance of educational institutions are analyzed. Then, through statistical tests, the differences in the results are verified by each knowledge competence evaluated in the national education exam in Colombia. Next, a logistic regression model is implemented to validate the classification forecast of an EFQM accreditation school using academic variables. The results show that schools accredited under the EFQM model have consistently better results in all the competences evaluated, and the logistic regression model presented a prediction capacity of an accredited school with AUC value of 76.27%.
