In addition to formulation of emergency response plans, there have been an emphasis on the use of advanced information systems. The recent technological developments (such as sensors and intelligent agents) has resulted into significant improvement in information acquisition and share in emergency response situations. The examination of emergency response management in Al Ahsaa area, Saudi Arabia, revealed the challenges associated with the efficiency of emergency response operations and the difficulty of engaging and harmonizing emergency response partners. The paper examined the concepts of emergency response management information, proposed a multi-agent pervasive emergency response framework and highlighted possible implementation hiccups.
