Abstract:
This paper proposes the implementation model of the multimodal freight transport development strategy in the TRITIA cross-border area. In the theoretical part the method of analysis and critical review of the literature was used. The literature researches confirmed that in the practice of the strategy implementation remains a huge gap between the process of formulating the strategy and its implementation. While there are undoubtedly many reasons behind the strategy's application gap, particular attention has been paid to the increasingly clear new challenges related to changes taking place in cross-border regions. Therefore, in the research part of the article, the authors made an attempt to develop a model for the implementation of the multimodal transport development strategy under the TRANS TRITIA project, hoping that the implementation of the project and recommended solutions will allow for better communication of the studied regions, the cross-border transport system will be unified and integrated, and it will also be possible to implementation of European recommendations contained in the White Paper on Transport in the area of alternative forms of freight transport.
