Abstract:
Social Media has grown into a very essential part of individuals’ life as well as organizations. It has become one of the primary means of gathering or sharing information. Communicating through social media, taking care of one’s security & privacy have come to be really important part of personal soft skills. For trainers it is even more important, as they are the ones which are entrusted with the purpose of getting the trainees ready to face the challenges of the 21st Century. For academic training or corporate training, trainers always needs to be updated with the latest information & updates, be connected with the right people, develop a network and build more credibility with their virtual personality along with the real one. This paper aims to establish the “ability to use social media” as a very important soft skill for the trainers and elaborates a set of good practices on social media that the trainers can take up to improve their influence over the trainees & peers. The relation between soft skills, hard skills and training transfer has also been discussed briefly in context to the primary aims of this article. Though this paper doesn’t discuss the efficiency of the factors determined in the paper, it recommends the broad further scope of research in this regard.
