Abstract:
This study aimed to examine the effects of distributive and procedural justice, and Islamic work ethics on employee engagement. The study involved 171 employees of a private company under Islamic foundations. The analysis was performed using hierarchical multiple regression. The results showed that distributive and procedural justice plays a spositive role in improving employee engagement while Islamic work ethics play a role to moderate the effects of distributive and procedural justice on employee engagement. The interaction of distributive justice and Islamic work ethics plays a role in explaining employee engagement. Similarly, the interaction of procedural justice and Islamic work ethics affects employee engagement. The contribution of the main effects in this study is 0.631 while the contribution of the interaction effect is 0.056.
