Improving E-Government Implementation at Universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the Application of Innovation Spread Qualities

Abstract:

Due to the vast improvement in the field of information technology in Saudi Arabia, Egovernment implementation at universities is becoming an essential step toward the development of Saudi universities. Accordingly, this area has a shortage of research in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which raised the need to discuss and explore the potential success factors of implementing E-government in Saudi universities. This paper discusses some basic knowledge of E-government which includes: E-government definitions, Egovernment types, E-Government history in Saudi Arabia and factors affecting the implementation of E-government at universities in Saudi Arabia. Then, it proposes a best practice model for the critical success factors which have a considerable impact on the process of implementing E-government in Saudi universities. Finally, it suggests using innovation spread qualities to improve e government implementation and processes at universities in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
