Improving the Management of Employees Adaptation in Regional Authorities

Abstract:

The urgency of the problem of staff adaptation today is due to the direct impact on the results of the work of employees, but in spite of this, many organizations of staff adaptation are not given due attention, and the process is spontaneous. Many managers underestimate the importance of adaptation, believing that it can be spontaneous, do not want to spend available resources or often carry out adaptation partially. Most organizations do not even have basic adaptation programs. However, how well the adaptation process is organized will depend on the employee's performance of professional duties, the degree of his/her identification with the company, the acceptance of its norms and values. The purpose of the study is to develop recommendations for improving the management of the public civil servants adaptation in the regional Duma. The study of the most frequently encountered problems during the adaptation process through questioning the staff showed that the greatest difficulty in the adaptation period was experienced by new employees in the performance of professional duties, joining a new team, and also in connection with the specifics of working in the civil service. These problems are noted both by experienced specialists, and young ones. There are some factors that influence the course of staff adaptation and satisfaction, revealed, which affects the outcome of labor adaptation. A conversation and a survey conducted with experienced experts of the regional Duma made it possible to determine the level of their organizational skills, focus on the team, the desire to share knowledge and experience, the degree of tolerance and psychological stability. Based on the study and analysis of the adaptation procedure in the regional Duma, some recommendations were developed - a draft of the Regulations on Adaptation in the Regional Duma and an appropriate system of directions for improving the management of the adaptation of state civil servants in the regional Duma.
