Abstract:
This article presents the definition, purpose and principles of the Quality Control CirclesDepartment in the Toyota factory in Europe and details the organisational structure necessary for the proper functioning of the said Quality Control Circles. The process for assessing the skills of thoseemployees, engaged in the Quality Control CirclesDepartment, is described. The Circles’ operationalmethodology and its influence on improving the quality of production processes, based on actual examples, is shown in the article and the benefits of the Quality Control Circles, for the production plant, are indicated.
