Abstract:
This paper provides a framework for comparison between the implementation of ERP systems in-house versus the in-cloud implementations. The paper first establishes a framework for the comparison based on three factors: pre-live i.e., the implementation methodologies of both options, postlive i.e., cost, time, and the user-friendliness of the systems, and third is other factors i.e., security and scalability. Results show that in-cloud systems are faster to implement, less costly and easier to use, and they are scalable. In-house system, compare to in-cloud, give organizations more control and hence they seems to be more secure to many organizations.
