Inclusion of Pregnant Women in the Colombian labor Market

Abstract:

The labor market in Colombia has been growing steadily since the economic opening that began in the 1990s, thanks to various initiatives and orientations such as the Washington Concession. This change in the labor market has meant, in addition to the well-known displacement of people from the rural sector to the urban sector, a significant increase in the country's economically active population along with women's access to the labor market. A large number of people have entered the labor market, and, with time, educational conditions have adapted to the needs of the market, allowing some of these people to study, improve their working level and consequently improve their standard of living.
