Abstract:

The tourist potential of a small Russian town Kozmodemyansk is examined. Interesting facts are presented, they prove that the town is unique, original and valued as a geographical, historical and cultural object. The resources and opportunities of the town for the development of cultural and educational tourism are identified. The competitive advantages of the town for the development of cultural and educational tourism are described. The unicity of wood carving on historical buildings of the 19th century in Kozmodemyansk is revealed. The steps for considering the town as a monument of wooden architecture are suggested. The advantages of forming the brand of the town as an ancient one with a unique wood carving are set out.
