Abstract:

This research aims to study the application of industrial environmental management in shipyards. first, by identifying parameters that affect the implementation of industrial environmental management obtained based on literature studies. Second, analyzing the situation in the sample shipyard by using predetermined parameters, namely the production process, company management and environmental management. Third, formulate a strategy for implementing industrial environmental management in shipyards. Based on the analysis conducted, it was identified that the shipyards that were sampled by researchers had deficiencies in several aspects viz. energy saving activities, use of water resources, waste management, and lack of several aspects of existing environmental standards. The overall rating of the PROPER criteria raised is still in the red category. These deficiencies are then analyzed by researchers to formulate strategies to meet the parameters of the application of industrial environmental management.
