Abstract:
The formation of the digital economy is the main direction for the socioeconomic development of the 21st century. For the Russian Federation, digitalization is one of the main tasks of the next decade. In our work, we have examined the stages of digitalization of the Russian economy; have identified the limitations of the Russian personnel training system that impede digitalization; have analyzed the skills needed in the digital economy. The main idea of the research it devoted to proof changing the skills necessary for a digital economy using measurable quantitative indicators. In this role, we used the annual statistics published by the Russian State Statistics Service. The main research methods are correlation analysis and retrospective analysis of time series. The key indicator characterizing the level of education was "The share of the employed population aged 25-64 years with higher education." The conducted correlation analysis showed a high correlation between the level of education and the main indicators of the digital economy.
