Influence of Human Resource Management Practices on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Performance in Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority

Abstract:

This research paper investigated the influence of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices on job satisfaction and organizational performance in Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority. This research employed six HRM practices such  Selection and Recruitment, Career Planning, Training and development, Performance Management, Incentives and rewards, Empowerment and Job Security. Self-designed structured questionnaire was used to collect data from respondents, purposive sampling was employed in this research. Smart-PLS was used to analyze the data in order to determine the effect of HRM practices on job satisfaction and organizational performance. The result revealed that empowerment practice has the most significant influence on job satisfaction as indicated by a path coefficient of 0.234 which is significant (t-statistics = 3.577, P-value = 0.000). The second most influential human resource management practices on job satisfaction is the performance management as revealed by path coefficient value of 0.178 which is significant (t-statistics = 3.499, p-value = 0.000). The third most influential human resource management practice on job satisfaction is the training and development practice as indicated by path coefficient of 0.183 which is also significant (t-statistics = 3.102, p-value = 0.002). Similarly, on the influence on organizational performance, the result indicated that performance management practice has the most significant influence on organisational performance as indicated by a path coefficient of 0.145 which is significant (t-statistics = 2.671, P-value = 0.0008. The second most influential human resource management practices on organisational performance is the training and development practice as revealed by path coefficient value of 0.171 which is significant (t-statistics = 2.531, p-value = 0.011). The third most influential human resource management practice on organisational performance is the job security practice as indicated by path coefficient of 0.333 which is also significant (t-statistics = 2.381, p-value = 0.017).
