Influence of Technological Progress on Clusters Success

Abstract:

Clusters are the trigger for new technology through continuous involvement in an effective approach in attracting as many members as possible to streamline industrial progress. These networks aim to capitalize on resources, the effects of results, reduce costs, improve quality, innovation, productivity and thus develops the strategies of emerging economies. Also, the economic development is in a continuous process of modernization, of integration, of the innovative activities through their competitive advantage. The integration of innovative clusters at the economic level brings positive effects of industrialization through technological challenges, by improving the way in which smart specialization propels this industrial sector through competitiveness. Industry 4.0 is a concept that confirms these challenges for maximizing digitization through the evolution of industrial manufacturing and harnessing the capacity of new technologies. This paper aims to highlight the importance of successful implementation of this new concept of economic development, by ensuring the factors involved in achieving the objectives related to cost, time. The research aimed to analyze the correlation between the performance factors of innovative clusters and industry 4.0. The study responded to cluster managers in the northwestern region of Romania with a positive correlation of technological performance variables on competitiveness, but with a more reluctant vision of implementation in certain industrial areas on changes that may cause certain staff restructuring.
