Abstract:
The consumption of eco products and services has become increasingly important in the life of local communities. On the basis of a qualitative research, the authors undertake an analysis of consumers' attitudes and behaviors regarding the use of eco products and services and their possible links to the quality of life. One of the important objectives of this study is to identify ways in which local communities can be developed in a sustainable manner, using environmentally friendly alternatives to food production and business development based on eco products and services. The authors also outlined the importance of more effective promotion of eco-labeled products and services and of the eco-label (European flowers) among local communities. It is also important for local communities to realize that eco products and services are the basis for increasing the quality of their life and daily comfort.
