Abstract:

The paper presents the strategic steps that need to be taken in order to prepare the transport program for the following days. The necessary data, the nominalization, the daily and hourly consumption profiles and the transport network model are also presented.

The starting point of the simulation process for the following day transport program is represented by the physical balance of the gas quantities transported during the current day. The network model is loaded with the new tasks and successive simulations are made until all the requirements are met and the transport program is optimised. The result of these simulations is a list of manoeuvres necessary to operate the real system the following day. The platform presented in this paper is now implemented at SNTGN Transgaz SA, the transport operator from Romania.
