Abstract:
Today’s information and communication technologies (ICT) have revolutionized the way of working, transformed the economy and irreversible affected human activity in the information society. Poland is increasingly embracing ICTs as a key enabler of social and economic development. It is important for governments to improve the management of ICT-driven approaches to guarantee continuity of online services as well as to safeguard people’s data and privacy. E-government has been growing rapidly over the past years. The purpose of this article is to analyse the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in public administration in Poland. This issue will be analysed taking into account the structure of central administration and local government units. The method of literature analysis in terms of ICT as well as report analysis and own observations will be used.
