Information and Communication Technologies in Public Administration in Poland

Abstract:

The development of information and telecommunications technologies is extremely fast. Public institutions are adapting to the growing level of computerization of society and management in order to increase the efficiency of operations and improve the quality of services rendered. Electronic administration is part of the information society. Enabling access to public administration services contributes to its development as a whole. The purpose of the article is to present the implementation of the state computerization plan in the years 2016–2020, which is a response to the significant increase in social computerization and expectations of public administration. Presented results of research carried out by the Central Statistical Office on social informatization, transport and administration. The applications discussed are the implemented innovations in public e-services and human resource management.
