Information and Energy in Radiocommunication

Abstract:

The main task of telecommunication is to transmit information from the sender to the recipient. Usually, information is sent in the form of a message and the entire procedure is based on a typical scheme:

information →  information preparation → sending message → receiving message → retrieving information from message.

This universal scheme is a subject of various modifications depending on the type of information and the way it is transmitted, but in each case, it is possible to distinguish individual stages and always note that a specific amount of energy is required to achieve them. It has always been tried to minimize the energy needed to transmit information, and this also applies to telecommunication, and in particular radiocommunication.
