Abstract:

The research results presented in the article represent the three-year scientific achievements (2018-2020) of the authors in the field of determining the methods of obtaining and processing information by students of Economics studying at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin. The tool used in the research was the VARK questionnaire, and the number of respondents was 123 people. The performed analysis included the classification of the results by gender and the specialization carried out in the didactic process. The results of the research show that there is a balance in the studied group in terms of the number of students with a unimodal learning style and a multimodal style. The classification of students’ results by gender showed that a greater percentage of women have a preference for a multimodal learning style, while almost 2/3 of men prefer a unimodal style. There are also differences in learning styles between groups separated by specialty. However, this does not change the fact that kinesthetic modality was the dominant modality among the surveyed students of Economics.
