Innovative Approach to Supplying Production

Abstract:

There are two crucial supply logistic characteristics in industrial enterprises for producing scheduled volumes - the amount of inventories and the means of its distribution on to production lines. Both these characteristics also determine the amount of financial resources consumed. This is the reason for the important goal of optimizing supplying processes in terms of consumed time and financial resources. This article deals with internal resource management and further introduces a material picking methodology which creates a new point of view of the relations between the production and the stock. In the foreground of methodology are requirements of the customer, which determine the means of resource picking and the way of its handling out of the warehouse. The customer requirements can eventually result also in changes to the warehouse layout so maximum efficiency of the picking process can be reached.
