Abstract:

This paper analyses the institutional determinants of structuring the world political and economic space in terms of transforming information and knowledge into dominant resources of world socio-economic development. Based on a combination of existentialism concepts (cognitive direction of researching the problems of international political economy, knowledge-based theory of societies, the theory of "open society", theories of social capital, networking concept, theories of harmonizing the interests of international relations actors), there are developed theoretical aspects of forming international economic relations under the conditions of hierarchical construction of the world political and economic space and realizing the creative potential of the individual in the field of world social capital. The criterion evaluation of the efficiency of rent-oriented social networks as an integrative subsystem in the world economic system is revealed, which enables accumulation and reproduction of world social capital under conditions of the growing role of an intellectual rent in structuring the world political and economic space. The latest trends in the reproduction of social capital within the world political and economic space have been studied. There are considered the specific features of the communicative and informational properties of the world social capital as a meta-institution that determines institutional changes in the world political and economic space in terms of trust, commitment and sanctions. The criteria of social legitimacy of the international power structures regulating the world social processes are substantiated. To obtain scientifically grounded results, the article uses general scientific and special research methods, such as: methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, system approach, economic-statistical method, comparative method, method of theoretical generalization.
